Beth's heart and soul - and her true career - was always her music. She came to it honestly, helping her father, Ottawa's "Music Man", at Butler Music, starting at the age of 6. It was in her father's store that Beth was exposed to many types of music and musicians, and where she developed her love of the blues. As her musical career developed, she became a recognized and popular guitar player, singer, songwriter and harmonica player. She lived in Lawrence, Kansas for many years and a short time in Washington, D.C. Beth toured and performed through the United States, finally settling in Kansas City, where she also became a recognized musician in the Kansas City music scene. Throughout her musical career, Beth issued seven albums and CDs through her own music company named Marais des Cygnes Music. She was inducted into the Kansa Music Hall of Fame in 2008, acknowledging her man-years of musical contribution to the area
